On this private Kyoto tour, we'll discover the city's most important destinations, its most interesting neighborhoods, and undoubtedly, various hidden treasures. We'll get to appreciate what was the capital of Japan for over 1,000 years and one of the few cities untouched by bombs during World War II.
Plan
After meeting you at your hotel at the designated time, we'll head to the Silver Pavilion (Ginkaku-ji), where the walking tour begins. We'll continue past the vast Nanzen-ji Temple complex and on to Yasaka Shrine. Next, we'll visit Nishiki Market to sample some local cuisine. Our next stop is the magnificent Kiomizu-dera Temple. To reach it, we'll stroll through several traditional streets, allowing us to appreciate its architecture and culture. We'll conclude the tour with a visit to the Gion geisha district, where, with luck, we might catch a glimpse of a maiko (geisha).
We end the tour by dropping them off at their hotel or at a strategic point so they can continue enjoying themselves.
