Explore Kyoto Higashiyama Route

In this private experience exploring Kyoto, we will discover the city's most important destinations, its most interesting neighborhoods, and certainly various hidden treasures will also emerge. We will come to appreciate what was the capital of Japan for over 1000 years and one of the cities untouched by bombs during World War II.

Plan

After meeting at your hotel at the designated time, we will head to the Silver Pavilion (Ginkaku-ji), starting our walking tour there. We will continue the route, passing through the enormous Nanzen-ji temple complex, and then proceed to the Yasaka Shrine. Afterward, we will go to Nishiki Market to taste its typical local food. The next stop is the wonderful Kiyomizu-dera Temple. To reach it, we will walk through various traditional streets, allowing us to appreciate their architecture and culture. We will conclude the tour by visiting Gion, the geisha district, and with luck, we might even spot a Maiko.

We will end the tour by dropping you off at your hotel or at a strategic point for you to continue enjoying your day.
