Exploring Tokyo (The Old Side)

About this experience
Plan
We will begin our tour at your hotel's reception at the agreed meeting time.
Using Tokyo's efficient public transportation system, we will head to the Asakusa district, renowned for its Sensoji Temple and its "Kaminarimon" gate with its large red lantern. We will stroll along Nakamise Street and explore the temple and the surrounding shopping streets, where we can experience authentic local Japanese neighborhood culture, with businesses dating back to the Edo period, over 250 years ago.
After exploring the Asakusa district, we will use one of Asia's most historic subway lines to head to the Ueno district, where we will explore its large park, rich in history and famous for its beautiful cherry trees, temples, museums, and zoo.
We will cross the beautiful Shinobazuike Pond promenade to head to the popular Ameyoko market. In this market, we will not only see local shops but also their coexistence with shops run by immigrants from other Asian countries. For this very reason, it is a good place to taste a wide variety of dishes, not only Japanese but Asian in general.
We will conclude our tour at the end of the Ameyoko market if you wish to continue exploring on your own, or at Ueno Station, where we will guide you to the most direct train line to your hotel.
